El primer objetivo fue estudiar el efecto de las atribuciones en el fenómeno de inmunización contra la indefensión aprendida humana, tal y como postula el modelo reformulado de indefensión. Los resultados mostraron, en primer lugar, el efecto básico de inmunización, siendo la experiencia previa con controlabilidad una condición suficiente para su producción. En segundo lugar, que dicho efecto esta modulado por las atribuciones concretas realizadas por los sujetos en la fase de incontrolabilidad, haciendo a los sujetos más vulnerables a la indefensión cuando dichas atribuciones son globales-internas y más resistentes cuando son especificas externas. El segundo objetivo de investigación fue comenzar a diferenciar entre el déficit de actividad y el déficit cognitivo postulado en el fenómeno de indefensión aprendida. Los datos sugieren una primera demostración de dicha diferenciación a un nivel preliminar. Al mismo tiempo se vuelve a producir una demostración y replicación clara del efecto de inmunización concordante con resultados previos.
