The Glossary on Good Practices in the Field of Social Work and Human Mobility is a publication developed within the framework of the European project Global ANSWER (H2020-MSCA-RISE-GA-872209). Its main objective is to provide a unified conceptual framework for analyzing and implementing good practices in social work interventions with migrants and asylum seekers.
This glossary has been collaboratively developed by researchers from various institutions and countries, establishing a shared language for key concepts in the field of social work and human mobility. It covers essential terms related to:
1) Intervention models and theoretical approaches (critical social work, intersectional approach, social justice, human rights-based approach, etc.).
2) Migration processes and public policies (migrants' rights, integration, social exclusion, neoliberal and security policies, etc.).
3) Emerging concepts in human mobility (social innovation, participation, intercultural and linguistic mediation, empowerment, sustainability).
The glossary is part of Work Package 3 of the Global-ANSWER project, focusing on training and the development of a collaborative action-research framework at an international level. It also complements the Guide on Conceptual and Methodological Issues in Social Work Research in the Field of Human Mobility, providing a reference tool for researchers, social work professionals, and policymakers.
