Propuesta metodológica para la inclusión de la fauna en los estudios de paisaje. El ejemplo de la playa de Casasola, Málaga (España)

Abstract

A methodological approach is proposed to assess the direct expression of the animal component (both wild and domestic) of the landscape according to the Guidelines for the implementation of the European Landscape Convention. In order to test the validity of the method, the proposal is applied to a complex territory like the Mediterranean coastal area in the province of Malaga, Andalusia. The study confirms that fauna can be a characteristic element of landscape, especially in its sonic dimension and regardless of the degree of naturalness. We conclude that fauna can and must be included in studies of landscape.
