Pues no. Es un libro de conjuros acompañado de una curiosa liturgia de misas y oraciones, impreso por primera vez en Madrid, en 1662. ¿Qué podía hacer el hombre carente de medios y conocimientos científicos para luchar contra las plagas que invadían sus cultivos, fuente primordial de subsistencia? No encontraba recursos más eficientes psicológicamente que las soluciones religiosas. Determinadas reliquias como la cabeza de san Gregorio Ostiense, oraciones y otros ritos eran los remedios que ofrecía la Iglesia como "insecticidas" en la etapa precientífica.},

This appears to be the label of an efficient and powerful insecticide launched by Bayer. It isn’t. It is a book of spells accompanied by a curious liturgy of masses and incantations, printed for the first time in Madrid in 1662. What could humans do, lacking means and scientific knowledge to fight against the plagues that invaded their crops, the primary source of subsistence? They found no recourse more psychologically efficient than the religious.
