abstract = {Cet article se propose de présenter brièvement une branche dynamique des
études narratives contemporaines, nommée « narratologie non naturelle », en prenant
l’exemple d’un roman belge de langue française, paru en 2007, à savoir Les Vivants et les
Ombres de Diane Meur. Il s’agit surtout d’examiner la narratrice non humaine de ce texte afin
de dégager sa spécificité, à la fois au niveau de ses pratiques narratives et sous l’angle de son
influence sur la dimension générique du texte. La conclusion met l’accent sur les
transformations contemporaines du roman historique, dues notamment à l’introduction
d’instances narratives « non naturelles » qu’il est possible d’interpréter à la lumière des
tendances posthumanistes de la culture contemporaine et des caractéristiques de la littérature
postmoderne.},
abstract = {This article aims to briefly present a dynamic branch of contemporary
narrative studies, called “unnatural narratology”, taking the example of a Belgian Frenchlanguage novel, published in 2007, namely Les Vivants et les Ombres, by Diane Meur. The
author examines the non-human narrator of this text in order to identify his specificity, both
at the level of his narrative practices and from the angle of his influence on the generic
dimension of the text. The conclusion emphasizes the contemporary transformations of the
historical novel, due in particular to the introduction of “unnatural” narrative instances that
can be interpreted in the light of the posthumanist tendencies of contemporary culture and
the characteristics of postmodern literature.},
