abstract = {Existen dos tipos de situaciones muy diversas que, sin embargo, podemos considerera características: Una, la de un monumento histórico muy notable, con una gran presencia visual en el paisaje de la ciudad y situado actualmente, sin embargo, en un contexto cambiante y muy diferente del original y otra, por el contrario, la de un edificio en un conjunto histórico, conservados de una forma bastante adecuada mediante una adaptación a la sociedad y la ciudad.},
abstract = {Description of two characteristic situations: A historical building in a context which is both changeable and very different from the original one and another building situated in a preserved historical complex. In the first case the process of intervention is independent of its environment an entails choosing technical solutions in order to achieve new formal expressions which respect the permanence of expressions of former significance. In the seconde case intervention must be linked to more general processes which envisage its integration in the restoration of the complex in which it is situated. Two experiences of intervention relevant to the situations described are dealt with here.},
