Identification of Trypanosomatids by detecting Single Nucleotide Fingerprints using DNA analysis by dynamic chemistry with MALDI-ToF Luque-González, María Angélica Sánchez Martín, Rosario María Ortiz González, Matilde Soriano Rodríguez, Miguel García Salcedo, José Antonio Díaz Mochón, Juan José Protozoan parasites of the Trypanosomatidae family cause severe diseases like Human African Trypanosomiasis, Chagas disease, and Leishmaniasis. Despite existing molecular assays for detection and monitoring, limitations persist. We introduce a novel molecular assay combining dynamic chemistry DNA analysis with MALDI-ToF mass spectrometry, allowing rapid identification and differentiation of Trypanosomatid species with singleplex PCR. This innovative approach enhances diagnostic capabilities and therapeutic monitoring for these diseases. 2024-02-07T13:26:34Z 2024-02-07T13:26:34Z 2017-07-21 journal article María Angélica Luque-González, Mavys Tabraue-Chávez, Bárbara López-Longarela, Rosario María Sánchez-Martín, Matilde Ortiz-González, Miguel Soriano-Rodríguez, José Antonio García-Salcedo, Salvatore Pernagallo, Juan José Díaz-Mochón, Identification of Trypanosomatids by detecting Single Nucleotide Fingerprints using DNA analysis by dynamic chemistry with MALDI-ToF, Talanta, Volume 176, 2018, Pages 299-307, ISSN 0039-9140, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.talanta.2017.07.059. https://hdl.handle.net/10481/88617 10.1016/j.talanta.2017.07.059 eng http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ embargoed access Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacional Elsevier
