Metasurface-based contact lenses for color vision deficiency: comment Huertas Roa, Rafael Martínez Domingo, Miguel Ángel Valero Benito, Eva María Gómez Robledo, Luis Hernández Andrés, Javier Color vision Color Vision Deficiency Color blindness Recently Karepov and Ellenbogen [Opt. Lett. 45, 1379 (2020) [CrossRef] ] claimed that a new metasurface-based contact lens is able to correct deuteranomaly. Unfortunately, their results are not supported by psychophysical experiments, and some key assumptions in their simulations were misinterpreted. All of this has led to wrong conclusions providing false expectations to the color vision deficiency community. 2024-01-12T08:13:47Z 2024-01-12T08:13:47Z 2020-09-14 journal article Rafael Huertas, Miguel Ángel Martínez-Domingo, Eva M.
