This Final Year Project focuses on the human personality and the mechanisms that human beings use to interact and socialize. This study shows that the individual has a different personality depending on the linguistic and extralinguistic elements of each language so that the individual can integrate in their mother tongue environment as well as in the environment of a different culture and language. Two concepts are hereby proposed: “resocialization” and implementation of new communicative, pragmatic and cultural strategies in order to socialize again in the new environment. And on the basis of the personality that multilingualism and multiculturalism portray, the author gives practical examples in Italian, Korean, German, English and Spanish with a view to offering answers to the following aspects: the differences between the native speaker and the foreign speaker when the latter has to adapt and portray or form their personality; the way in which the behaviour of the multicultural person impacts on their speech, and the possible interferences between languages; the assimilation of different cultures with special focus on the Korean sociocultural differences and the problems that may arise when someone from this culture has to adapt to the Spanish culture. 2021-06-24T07:07:53Z 2021-06-24T07:07:53Z 2021-06-22 info:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesis http://hdl.handle.net/10481/69368 spa http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/ info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Atribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 3.0 España
