DIFFERENCES IN NORMATIVE ORIENTATION TOWARDS WORK: AS A RIGHT AND A DUTY Calvo Salguero, Antonia Aguilar-Luzón, María del Carmen García-Martínez, José Miguel Ángel Diferencias en función del sexo Normas sociales sobre el trabajo Socialización al rol del género Socialización ocupacional Gender differences Normative Orientation towards work Gender Role Socialization Occupational Socialization The main aim of this study was to verify if any gender differences exist in normative orientation towards work. Likewise, we analyzed the impact of the occupational level on the evaluations of normative orientations towards work. A sample of 267 workers 128 males and 139 females- was chosen from three different jobs. Results reveal that there were no significant gender differences in normative orientation towards work as a right nor in normative orientation towards work as a obligation. Nevertheless, significant differences were found with regard to occupational level, in such a way that workers who held jobs with a lower occupational level showed a higher evaluation of work as an obligation than those who held jobs with a higher occupational level 2019-01-08T12:13:31Z 2019-01-08T12:13:31Z 2004 info:eu-repo/semantics/article Calvo-Salguero, A.; Aguilar-Luzón, M.C. & García-Martínez, J.M.A. (2004): Differences in normative orientation towards work: as a right and a duty.
