This dictionary was probably composed in the late thirteenth or early fourteenth century. According to tradition, the Kitāb al-Taysīr was composed by a Karaite scholar known as Šelomo ben Mobārak ben Ṣa‘īr in Old Cairo. The manuscript tradition of the Kitāb at -Taysīr is a very rich one, almost unique for a practically unknown medieval work.In this paper five fragments from Taylor Schechter Collection are published, translated, and discussed for the first time. 2016-04-13T16:49:53Z 2016-04-13T16:49:53Z 2015-07 info:eu-repo/semantics/article Ginzei Qedem 11 9*-37* 1565-7353 http://hdl.handle.net/10481/40842 eng http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/ info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 License Ginzei Qedem is produced by the Ben-Zvi Institute of Yad Izhak Ben-Zvi and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on behalf of the Friedberg Genizah Project
