Proyecto Maracena Bilingue: A pilot study Caño García, África Primary education Motivation Language performance Initial teaching training This work aims to report possible motivational and English language performance changes of sixty five Primary Education students from bilingual and non-bilingual schools inside the “Proyecto Maracena Bilingue”. The project follows several objectives such as the improvement of the English communicative skills and the level of motivation towards English classes in those students. “Proyecto Maracena Bilingue” has been developed during three months, one hour and half classes per week in groups of eight students. Mentors, three TFG students and two coordinators all of them from the Education School, are also the participants of this project. Quantitative and qualitative instruments such as information data given by the school teachers, weekly evaluations made by mentors and observation made by TFG students were used during the process to measure the possible changes that this work aims to report.
