The main aim of this article is to analyse the adaptation of some of the former branches of the Bank of Spain to museum spaces. To contextualize and better understand this new heritage subject, we will first explain the typology of these buildings (their history, formal qualities and evolution). Second, we will go through the bank premises nowadays closed and the uses assigned to each of them, stressing their heritage values and the problems related to their adaptation to new functions. Finally, we will specifically deal with those bank branches that have been or will be converted into museums. 2015-05-13T11:29:15Z 2015-05-13T11:29:15Z 2014-12 info:eu-repo/semantics/article Simarro Ruiz, E.
