The aim of this study is to describe the habits and dietary intakes of adolescents of the city of Melilla. Participants were 591 students aged 15-16 years, predominantly of Muslim (54.2%) and Catholics (42.2%), distributed in public and private schools. The instrument used was the Test Assessment Preferences, Intentions and Food Consumption (TAPIFC), of which we used only the variables of the blocks I and III. The results show that the eating habits followed the guidelines identified in other contexts (e.g., 22.7% do not eat breakfast, 42.5% eat between meals); their food intake is deficient in fruits, vegetables, dairy and nuts; and excessive in fats, sweets and soft drinks, stimulants drinks and alcoholic drinks. These results are not affected by the multicultural background of the sample, and in general, the pattern of dietary intake of girls is less wrong than their male partners’. 2013-04-23T11:26:22Z 2013-04-23T11:26:22Z 2011 info:eu-repo/semantics/article Benarroch, A.; Pérez, S.
