Literatura juvenil y educación intercultural: ¿estética vs. axiología? Ceuta. ABSTRACT Despite the debate about the existence of the so-called “juvenile literature” is not closed in any sense, it can be accepted that, at least partially, it would include a wide number of titles gathered in specific collections aimed at Secondary Education students. These books are characterised by a number of features among which we can highlight the fact of being focused, more than on aesthetic-literary values, on trying to connect with the vital world of the readers and, on the other hand, on showing and representing the accepted values of Western democratic societies so as to contribute to the education and socialization of these teenagers. In recent time, as a consequence of the importance of the phenomenon of immigration, among these values those related to interculturality are particularly salient.
