Hernán Ruiz de Villegas y Ravisio Textor: a propósito de las Aesopi fabulae Jiménez Ríos, Laura Aesopi fabulae Hernán Ruiz de Villegas Poesía neolatina Ravisio Textor This paper is a continuation of our studies dedicated to highlight the importance of the poetic Opera of Hernán Ruiz de Villegas, a neolatin poet born in Burgos (1510-1572). The main purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the hypothesis that our author used quite often the encyclopaedic works of the French humanist Johannes Ravisius Textor, specially, the Epitheta and the Officina, as a source for the composition of his poetic works, and to analyse their influence on his Aesopi fabulae, a collection of 38 fables composed in dactylic hexameter. 2026-02-25T10:51:56Z 2026-02-25T10:51:56Z 2022 journal article Jiménez Ríos, L. “Hernán Ruiz de Villegas y Ravisio Textor: a propósito de las Aesopi fabulae”, Euphrosyne 50 (2022), pp. 287-298. 0870-0133 2736-3082 https://hdl.handle.net/10481/111505 spa http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ open access Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 License Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacional Brepols
