Esta obra nace en 1968 como un libreto de televisión que será llevada a la pantalla por director Juan José Jusid. Quince años más tarde, el autor decide retomar ese guion y convertirlo en una obra de teatro. Se analizará aquí de forma pormenorizada lo que ambos lenguajes aportan a una pieza que presenta, como es habitual en la etapa realista del autor, a un oficinista gris, su mezquindad y su arribismo. Este microcosmos teatral concreta el clima de desencanto del Buenos Aires de la dictadura de Onganía. While cinema typically adapts literary works, this paper explores the reverse path of Tute Cabrero, a play by the Argentine playwright Roberto Cossa. This work originated in 1968 as a television script, which was adapted for the screen by director Juan José Jusid. Fifteen years later, the author decided to revisit this script and transform it into a play. This paper will analyze in detail what both mediums contribute to a piece that presents, as is typical of the author's realist period, a nondescript office worker, his pettiness, and his social climbing.
