Este fragmento aparece recogido por Antoine Arnauld en su tratado La Logique ou l'Art de penser (= De arte bene cogitandi). Sin embargo, hasta ahora no se ha conseguido identificar la referencia exacta del texto de Arnauld al que hace alusión el opúsculo leibniziano. Nosotros creemos que este pasaje de Pascal se puede encontrar en la Quatrième Partie, Chapitre II, págs. 377-378, del referido Tratado de Lógica arnauldiano; puede allí, en efecto, leerse la locución adverbial "vn peu", que Leibniz traduce al latín por medio del adverbio "parumper". Nevertheless, till now it hasn't been possible to identify the exact reference to Arnauld's text to which leibnitian short writing is addressing.
