Simultaneous Determination of Vanillin and Syringaldehyde Using High Performance Liquid Chromatography. Application to Static and Soleras Aged Brandies Gimenez Martinez, Rafael Jesus Villalón Mir, Marina Lopez García de la Serrana, Herminia López Martínez, María del Carmen Olalla Herrera, Manuel A technique for the simultaneous determination of vanillin and syringaldehyde using HPLC was developed and applied to the analysis of commercial brandies, aged either along the traditional static system or along the soleras system, in an attempt to establish the influence the aging system might have on the quality of the brandies. The separation and quantification of these aldehydes were carried out by direct injection of the samples into the chromatograph. The precision obtained under this method was expressed as a percentage of recovery, vanillin presenting 99.803% and syringaldehyde 99.009%. 2025-07-30T08:06:26Z 2025-07-30T08:06:26Z 1993 preprint Journal of Liquid Chromatography, volume 16,Issue 18 https://hdl.handle.net/10481/105833 10.1080/10826079308019688 eng http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ open access Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacional Taylor and Francis
