Syntactic transformations method of teaching Russian as a foreign language to Spanish students (B1-B2 level) Votyakova, Irina Syntactic transformation is a transformation of syntactic constructions by converting simple sentences into word collocations or complex sentences and vice versa, as well as by replacement of the parts of the sentences by the corresponding synonyms within a simple or a complex sentence. Teaching of this skill should be comprehensive and regular as the principle of such syntactic transformations is quite similar, despite the diversity in expression of meanings. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the specifi cs for teaching a syntactic transformation within the second certifi cation level of Russian as a Foreign Language on the example of studying the topic of Expression of Condition in Simple and Complex Sentences to a Spanish-speaking audience.
