Abstract

Presentamos el análisis de contenido de la película Holiday in Spain (1960), dirigida por Jack Cardiff en 1960, con un triple objetivo: mostrar su carácter documental analizando la percepción de la sociedad española de los años 1960 en el extranjero y los estereotipos presentes en ella. Analizar el valor del cine como documento y recurso didáctico para educar en patrimonio, pues fue rodada en diferentes espacios patrimoniales, centrándonos en el paisaje cultural de las cuevas de Guadix como escenario de cine y valorar su carácter experimental para conocer los avances técnicos y artísticos en el cine en la década de los años 60 del siglo XX. We present on the content analysis of the film Holiday in Spain (1960), directed by Jack Cardiff in 1959, with a threefold objective: to demonstrate its documentary nature, which allows for the analysis of how Spanish society of the 1960s was perceived abroad and the stereotypes present in it; to examine the value of cinema as a document and educational resource for heritage education, since the filming took place in various heritage sites, focusing on the cultural landscape of the Guadix Caves as a film setting; and to assess the experimental nature of the film to understand the technical and artistic advances that occurred in cinema during the 1960s
