Materia frágil: poéticas para el siglo XXI en América Latina y España

Abstract

¿Cómo se disponen en el poema las palabras y los cuerpos? ¿Cómo entran en contacto desde su latitud, longitud y profundidad, desde la sustancia material que los define? Materia frágil: poéticas para el siglo XXI en América Latina y España aspira a responder estas preguntas mediante diversas aproximaciones a la poesía actual, atendiendo a los límites, conflictos y nuevas condiciones de posibilidad de nuestro ser en común. Para hacerlo, se proponen varios estudios sobre las estéticas disidentes que están abriéndose paso a ambos lados del Atlántico, sobre las últimas derivas performáticas del discurso lírico y las implicaciones de nuestra creciente transmedialidad. A ellos viene a sumarse una serie de indagaciones sobre las poetas del siglo XXI y su intervención de la palabra mediante propuestas que perturban la estructura de lo íntimo y de lo colectivo, la identidad sexual o la familia, suscitando formas alternativas de subjetividad. A partir de diferentes horizontes nacionales, culturales e históricos, estos ensayos analizan las políticas de lo común, entendidas como una práctica simbólica y material que atraviesa el discurso poético. Exploran su espacio de emancipación y su trabajo con las nuevas articulaciones de la violencia. Piensan la poesía y su fragilidad como una condición para la resistencia.

How are words and bodies arranged in the poem, how do they come into contact from their latitude, longitude and depth, from the material substance that defines them? Fragile Matter: Poetics for the 21st Century in Latin America and Spain aims to answer these questions through different approaches to current poetry, attending to the limits, conflicts and new conditions of possibility of our being in common. To do so, several studies are proposed on the dissident aesthetics that are making their way on both sides of the Atlantic, on the latest performative drifts of lyrical discourse and the implications of our growing transmediality. These are joined by a series of enquiries into the poets of the 21st century and their intervention of the word through proposals that disrupt the structure of the intimate and the collective, sexual identity or the family, giving rise to alternative forms of subjectivity. Drawing on different national, cultural and historical horizons, these essays analyse the politics of the commons, understood as a symbolic and material practice that runs through poetic discourse. They explore its space of emancipation and its work with the new articulations of violence. They think of poetry and its fragility as a condition for resistance.
