The aim of this paper is the study of Paleohispanic inscriptions written in Latin alphabet, in order to assess their value as sources for the Latinization of the Iberian Peninsula. There are important regional differences: few Iberian inscriptions are written in Latin alphabet, but in Celtiberian area there is a significant group of texts written in alphabet and in Lusitania all vernacular inscriptions are written in Latin alphabet. Finally, we try to determinate the chronology of this kind of texts, some singular orthographic uses and we also propose a model theory to explain the uses of Latin alphabet to write indigenous languages.es_ES
