The objective of this article focuses on the historical-linguistics analysis of four lexical Arabisms attached to the lexical-semantic field of the textile industry of the Kingdom of Granada during the stage immediately after the Christian conquest (16th and 17th centuries): aceituní, almaizar, alquicel and anafaya. In order to do that, a corpus of municipal and administrative documents from the said territory have been elaborated (which corresponds to the current provinces of Málaga, Granada and Almería). The variety of Spanish developed in that territory during the said period is characterized by the maintenance, even incorporation, of lexical loanwords taken from Arabic language against the general tendency of loss which it is observed in other Spanish-speaking areas due to the particular historical, political and social context developed there. Specifically, the factor that stands as a key to the maintenance of this specific type of lexicon is due to the enormous prestige and fame achieved by the textile industry of Granada.es_ES
