We argue in this paper for three intertwined theses. The first one is that the debt of the Tractarian semantics with Frege's is deeper than it is commonly assumed. The identification of an inferentialist metasemantics for, at least, non-elementary sentences in Wittgentein's Tractatus is the second one. And from it, the third one follows: that the meaning of higher-level expressions, logical constants among them, is expressive. We also acknowledge the difficulty of giving a coherent semantic view of Wittgenstein's first work and, as a consequence, a comprehensible view of the role of logic that it includes.es_ES
