Resumen

This special issue is an homage to Professor Miguel Delgado, one of the founders and current member of the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence of the University of Granada. The topic of this issue, intended to be published before Professor Delgado's retirement, is related to areas where he has provided contributions along his fruitful career, not only with scientific results and publications, but also by advising or collaborating with some of the authors that have contributed to this special issue.
