Abstract

En el presente trabajo se realiza un recorrido por la participación cinematográfica de compositores e intérpretes nacidos en la provincia de Jaén (España) desde los inicios del siglo XX hasta la actualidad Se aborda, en primer lugar, el acompañamiento musical que se realizaba en directo durante la etapa muda del cine A continuación, se trata sobre los inicios del cine sonoro, que coinciden con la II República y le Guerra Civil Española Le seguirá un apartado sobre el cine del primer Franquismo, en el que se toma como referencia la figura de Juan Valderrama Blanca En relación con las dos décadas finales de la dictadura, se tratarán los casos de Raphael y Enrique Escobar Sotés. Del periodo democrático se analizan los casos de Francisco Guerrero y Paco Ortega, para, finalmente, estudiar la situación actual de la banda sonora en Jaén Este recorrido a través de las notas musicales y los fotogramas que han formado parte de nuestro imaginario colectivo pretende reflejar, en definitiva, la evolución cultural y social de España a lo largo de más de 120 años de nuestra historia.
