Sobre el concepto y el método científico en la Criminología: hacia un modelo sistémico de las Ciencias Criminológicas

Abstract

La Criminología es una ciencia autónoma, empírica e interdisciplinar. No ha sido un debate pacífico el de su contenido y, mucho menos, el de su nomenclatura. En este trabajo se va a intentar definir el contenido y la relación de esta ciencia social con el ámbito de las ciencias experimentales. Asimismo, también se observará la relación de ésta con otras ciencias básicas del fenómeno criminal como es el Derecho penal y la Política Criminal. Además, se indicará qué disciplinas integran la ciencia criminológica junto al hecho de poder aplicar la tesis sistémica procedente de la física teórica y de la cuántica a la Criminología que ayudará al entendimiento del por qué en referencia a la etiología del delito.

Criminology is an autonomous, empirical and interdisciplinary science. It has not been a peaceful discussion over its content and, much less, over its nomenclature. In this article we will try to define the content and the relationship of this social science with the field of experimental sciences. Likewise, the relationship of this with other basic sciences of the criminal phenomenon such as Criminal Law and Criminal Policy will also be observed. In addition, it will be indicated which disciplines make up criminological science together with the fact of being able to apply the systemic thesis from theoretical and quantum physics to Criminology that will help to understand why in reference to the etiology of crime.
