Abstract

The study of the commercial relations between Venice and Grenade has focused on the presence of the Serenissima’s merchant galleys in the Nasrid sultanate. This paper provides with new data from Venetian sources that allows recognising the features, hitherto unknown, of the Venetian community in the emirate, as well as the detail of the commercial transactions accomplished by Venetians and Grenadians
