Abstract

The present paper analyzes the Italian presence in the repopulation process in the Kigdom of Granada using only the Division Books (Libros de Repartimiento). The study of the texts recently at disposal gives new light to the argument and allows to establish traditional and renewal elements in the Italian settlement model in the South of the Iberian Peninsula after the conquest of the Nazari emirate
