Abstract

The present chapter deals with Castilian foreign policy in Renaissance Italy through two main points: diplomatic relations with Milan and Naples, the new diplomatic nodes of Castilian strategy in the Italian peninsula under Henry IV; and the news collected by Mantuan ambassadors in Milan. The image that emerges shows how the news on Iberian and international events reached straightaway or indirectly Italian Renaissance Courts. As an epilogue, we offer some news on the Castilian civil war between Isabel and Jane
