Acción colectiva y crisis rural. Ocio y fiestas como nexo comunitario en Sella (Alicante)

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza cómo se articula la acción colectiva en un contexto rural a partir de la participación de perfiles heterogéneos de personas residentes en la localidad de Sella (Alicante, España). Como resultado de la realización de entrevistas en profundidad y experiencias de observación participante, se exploran las motivaciones y estrategias de las diversas subjetividades que se involucran en la organización y participación en actividades lúdico-festivas. Los resultados atienden a las dinámicas de participación, reconocimiento y legitimación, donde las redes y el capital social vertebran una acción colectiva que se desvela como estrategia eficaz para atenuar los desafíos socioeconómicos que a menudo afectan a estas comunidades rurales.

This paper analyzes how collective action is articulated in a rural context from the participation of heterogeneous profiles of people living in the town of Sella (Alicante, Spain). As a result of in-depth interviews and participant observation experiences, the motivations and strategies of the diverse subjectivities involved in the organization and participation in recreational-festive activities are explored. The results address the dynamics of participation, recognition and legitimization, highlighting the importance of networks, social capital and agency, where reciprocity and complementarity favor the structuring of a collective action that is revealed as an effective strategy to mitigate the socioeconomic challenges that often affect these rural communities.
