La inclusión social de escolares con síndrome de Down

Abstract

La necesidad de favorecer la inclusión social de los escolares con síndrome de Down se convirtió en el punto de inicio de esta investigación, la cual tiene como objetivo: proponer un plan de acción que contribuya a la inclusión social de un escolar con esta cromosomopatía, que recibe la influencia educativa desde una escuela primaria de enseñanza general. La utilización de métodos del nivel teórico: analítico –sintético, inductivo–deductivo, histórico – lógico, tránsito de lo abstracto a lo concreto, sistémico-estructural, del nivel empírico: análisis de documento, observación participante, entrevista y el estudio de caso, permitieron determinar la existencia de dificultades en la inclusión social del escolar, influenciado por escasos avances en el desarrollo del componente pragmático, y por imitaciones en el desarrollo de hábitos y habilidades. Partiendo del diagnóstico realizado, se propone un plan de acción, que se diseña teniendo en cuenta las regularidades determinadas. Está conformado por tres áreas (comunitaria, escolar y personal), en estrecha interrelación. En él se implican diferentes agentes comunitarios bajo la conducción del terapista del lenguaje y se aprovechan las posibilidades que brinda la escuela abierta a la diversidad.

The need to favor the social inclusion of schoolchildren with Down syndrome became the starting point of this research, which aims to: propose an action plan that contributes to the social inclusion of a schoolchild with this chromosomopathy, which receives the educational influence from a primary school of general education. The use of methods from the theoretical level: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, historical-logical, transition from the abstract to the concrete, systemic-structural, from the empirical level: document analysis, participant observation, interview and case study, allowed to determine the existence of difficulties in the social inclusion of the student, influenced by little progress in the development of the pragmatic component, and by imitations in the development of habits and skills. Starting from the diagnosis made, an action plan is proposed, which is designed considering the determined regularities. It is made up of three areas (community, school and personal), in close interrelation. Different community agents are involved in it under the leadership of the language therapist and the possibilities offered by the school open to diversity are taken advantage of.
