El Camino Real de Tierra Afuera. Una pluralidad de patrimonios

Abstract

La articulación territorial de Nueva España fue, desde el mismo momento del contacto con los territorios continentales, una preocupación presente en los recién llegados. las noticias respecto a la necesidad de la construcción de nuevas vías que facilitaran el tránsito a pie o rodado, o el aprovechamiento de infraestructuras existentes que permitieran el desplazamiento de los recién llegados, habla de la coexistencia de dos realidades que acabarían conformando la estructura viaria novohispana. Un estudio de ésta exige aproximarnos a su conocimiento desde una escala conformada por diversos niveles, entre los que hay que destacar el de los caminos reales como el de Tierra Afuera.
