Other chapters in this volume have described fully some of the productive ac- tivities that were carried out in the Nasrid kingdom of Granada; most of them consisted of different forms of agriculture and animal husbandry. As in any other preindustrial society, the population was chiefly engaged in these two pursuits. Here, however, we will examine the work of artisans that led to the production of different kinds of objects, some meant for daily use and other more specialized ones having a variety of functions and social purposes.es_ES
