Jesús recogiendo sus vestiduras. Un análisis iconográfico

Abstract

El artículo investiga el origen iconográfico del Cristo recogiendo sus vestiduras tras la Flagelación, centrándose en el que se representa caído sobre el suelo, así como sus fuentes tanto grabadas como literarias y su posterior desarrollo plástico. Se analizará el desarrollo del tema desde un punto de vista global, desde sus orígenes centroeuropeos, a su posterior difusión a España y América Latina, pasando por la decisiva influencia ejercida por el arte Flamenco a la plástica hispana a mediados del siglo XVII.

Abstrat The article investigates the iconographic origin of the Christ gathering his vestments after the Flagellation, centring the one that is represented fallen on the soil, as well as his both recorded and literary sources and his later plastic development. The development of the topic was analyzed from a global point of view, from his Central European origins, to his later(posterior) diffusion to Spain and Latin America, passing for the decisive influence exercised by the Flemish art to the Hispanic plastic arts in the middle of the 17th century
