El trinomio de la venta perfecta: Muebles, comercio y bibliografía

Abstract

Actualmente el historiador del mueble que se tenga que enfrentar con una pieza, obligatoriamente tendrá que tener presente cuales son las fuentes actuales para poder desarrollar dicha labor. Analizamos en el presente trabajo la historiografía de la Historia del Mueble español, en sus obras dedicadas al mercado de muebles antiguos.

Publicaciones que se generalizaron a partir de los noventa del siglo XX. De entre los diferentes tipos de publicaciones que el investigador puede encontrar, disponemos de obras que analizan el precio de coste originario del mobiliario, es decir el precio de venta, por ejemplo de una cómoda en el siglo XVIII; aquellos textos que recogen cotizaciones actuales, como la prensa especializa en subastas y mercado del arte, y obras, habitualmente ignoradas como los catálogos de subastas.

Nowadays the historian of the furniture, who has to face up to a piece, necessarily will have to bear in mind the current sources to be able to develop the labour previously mentioned. In this article, we analyze the historiography of the History of the Spanish Furniture, in the works dedicated to the market of antique furnitures. These publications were widespread since the nineties until the 20th century.

Between the different types of publications that the investigator can find, we have works that analyze the original cost price of the furniture, that is the price of sale, for example a commode in the 18th century; those texts that gather current prices, such as the press specializes in auctions and market of the art, and works habitually ignored as the auction catalogues.
