Discurso directo y discurso indirecto: Estudio sociolingüístico en el corpus encuestas de habla urbana de Sevilla

Abstract

Se propone en este artículo describir el empleo del discurso directo e indirectoen 72 entrevistas del corpus Encuestas de habla urbana de Sevilla, basado encriterios lingüísticos, pragmáticos y sociales. Los resultados muestran unapreferencia por el uso del discurso directo por parte de los hablantes entrevistados.El marco introductor más utilizado es el canónico, esto es, mediante un verbo ydecir es el más empleado para reproducir. Además, se muestra una preferenciapara referir el discurso de forma directa. Asimismo, es la tercera generación y elsociolecto bajo quienes indican mayor tendencia al uso del discurso referido.

This study describes the use of reported speech in a sample of 72 oral interviews taken from the corpus Encuestas de habla urbana of Seville, based on linguistic, pragmatic and social criteria. The results showed that the questioned informants preferred to use direct speech. The most frequently introducing frame was the canonic one -with a verb- and decir was the most employed verb to report. They also prefer to report their own and others’ words by using direct reported speech. Regarding the social factors, the third generation and the low sociolect show a bigger tendency to the reported speech use.
