“No pierdas la memoria. Memoria histórica y activismo transmedia en el proyecto Vencidxs”

Abstract

En 2011 comienza Vencidxs que, de manera autogestionada, pretende recoger los testimonios de los últimos supervivientes de la Guerra Civil española y de la posterior represión durante el franquismo con el objetivo de que estos no caigan en el olvido. Mucho más que un ejercicio de memoria histórica las entrevistas son el fundamento para este proyecto transmedia y multilingüe (que consta de un documental, un libro fotográfico y una web-red social) y, por primera vez, son ellos, los anónimos entrevistados, los que narran, traban y contrastan sus vivencias con la historia oficial de los sucesos alrededor del conflicto civil, para participar de un gesto político aún hoy necesario: ser un referente para las generaciones de jóvenes actuales, aquellas que quieren tomar conciencia de las luchas sociales donde las políticas institucionales sobre la memoria histórica no resultan efectivas. Este trabajo estudia cómo un proyecto transmedia busca colectivizar la propiedad y el poder de la narrativa en la participación para la construcción de una Memoria histórica más justa y democrática. Así, lejos de un proyecto colaborativo o interactivo con fines comerciales, Vencidxs plantea un proceso de activismo social a través del transmedia más profundo, crítico y político, que promueve, ante todo, los lazos de unión entre las personas implicadas en él. Participar en Vencidxs resulta, por tanto, concebir la narrativa como una acción política enfocada en generar relatos críticos y nuevos espacios para el entendimiento común sobre nuestra propia historia.

In 2011 Vencidxs began, which, in a self-managed way, aims to collect the testimonies of the last survivors of the Spanish Civil War and the subsequent repression during Franco's regime so that they do not fall into oblivion. Much more than an exercise in historical memory, the interviews are the basis for this transmedia and multilingual project (which consists of a documentary, a photographic book and a social web-network) and, for the first time, it is they, the anonymous interviewees, who narrate, discuss and contrast their experiences with the official history of the events surrounding the civil conflict, to participate in a political gesture that is still necessary today: to be a reference for the current generations of young people, those who want to become aware of the social struggles where institutional policies on historical memory are not effective. This work studies how a transmedia project seeks to collectivise the ownership and power of narrative in participation for the construction of a more just and democratic historical memory. Thus, far from being a collaborative or interactive project with commercial aims, Vencidxs proposes a process of social activism through the deepest, most critical and political transmedia, which promotes, above all, the bonds of union between the people involved in it. Participating in Vencidxs is, therefore, conceiving narrative as a political action focused on generating critical narratives and new spaces for a common understanding of our own history.
