Cerámicas de importación en Oviedo (Asturias) entre los siglos XVI y XVII. Materiales procedentes de la casa Carbajal Solís

Abstract

The present work addresses the study of Asturian society in the 16th and 17th centuries, taking imported pottery productions as thepoint of connexion with the past. The material subject of the study comes from the archaeological excavations in the Carbajal Solis house(Oviedo, Asturias). These pieces form a wealthy repertoire of Iberian and European pottery. Together with the pottery, other cultural and socialinfluences would arrive and these are determinant for an understanding of the beginning of Asturian modernity.
