Tinmal, aproximación al estudio de un espacio sagrado Amazigh del Atlas

Abstract

En este trabajo, ofrecemos una primera aproximación al estudio espacial del conjunto de Tinmal, presentando un primer acercamiento a la muralla, dibujando su contorno, recopilando los documentos gráficos y los textos que la describen. Todo ello, para poner en relación las estructuras defensivas con el resto de elementos fundamentales de la capital espiritual almohade, como son el sistema de irrigación que hace posible la ocupación de un espacio sagrado y peculiar del que solo se suele tratar su mezquita.

In this paper, we offer a first approach to the spatial study of the Tinmal site, presenting a first approach to the wall, drawing its outline, compiling the graphic documents and the texts that describe it. All this, to put in relation the defensive structures with the other fundamental elements of the Almohad spiritual capital, such as the irrigation system that makes possible the occupation of a sacred and peculiar space that only its mosque is usually treated.
