De criadas, sisas y gatos: huellas de un cuento folclórico árabe (ATU 1373) en la España de los siglos XIX y XX

Abstract

RESUMEN. En la Granada nazarí de finales del siglo XIV, un literato llamado Ibn ʿĀṣim reproducía la primera versión ibérica del cuento folclórico ATU 1373. Partiendo de ella —cuyo texto es el único árabe medieval desarrollado que nos ha sido transmitido—, haremos un recorrido por la evolución del cuento en España, prestando especial atención a los siglos XIX-XX, donde hemos documentado varias versiones, tanto literarias, como otras inéditas que se imprimieron en la prensa.

ABSTRACT. At the end of the 14th century, a man of letters from Nasrid Granada, named Ibn ʿĀṣim, reproduced the first Iberian version of the folktale ATU 1373. Starting from this version —which is the only developed text from Medieval Arabic Literature that have been transmitted to us—, we will follow its evolution in Spain. In this regard, we will focus on the 19th and 20th centuries, when we have documented several versions, both literary and others unpublished texts printed in the press.
