El jardín masónico en España, siglos XVIII-XXI: problemáticas de historiar y preservar

Abstract

Este ensayo, con marcado carácter holístico, viene a poner de manifiesto la complejidad de abordar el paisaje histórico y la jardinería cuando se refiere a estéticas herméticas como la masónica, donde el valor simbólico de cualquier elemento compositivo y botánico puede no ser arbitrario. El jardín masónico desde el siglo XVIII ha sido una de las expresiones plásticas y estéticas más singulares de Europa. Sin embargo, debido a la historia reciente tras el contubernio judeo-masónico que el franquismo teorizó, e incluso, tras la democracia, España ha sufrido sistemáticamente el desconocimiento historiográfico del valor masónico asociado al jardín, por lo que las restauraciones e intervenciones son habitualmente desafortunadas. A lo largo y ancho de la geografía del país, desde Galicia, Andalucía o Canarias, se pueden apreciar múltiples ejemplos que argumentan esta carencia sistemática de protección y que generan problemáticas no solo a la hora de historiar y revalorizar, sino de preservar especies y elementos decorativos eliminados para siempre del imaginario colectivo y del metalenguaje implícito en su origen.

This essay, from a holistic perspective, highlights the complexity of approaching the historical landscape and gardening when referring to hermetic aesthetics such as the Freemasonic aesthetics, where the symbolic value of any compositional and its botanical element may not be arbitrary. Since the eighteenth century, the Masonic gardens have been one of the most unique artistic and aesthetic expressions in Europe which contain hermeticism. However, due to the recent history after the Judeo-Masonic conspiracy that Francoism theorized during the Dictatorship, and even after democracy, Spain has systematically suffered from the historiographical ignorance of the Masonic value associated with gardens, so restorations and interventions are usually unfortunate. Throughout the length and breadth of the country, from Galicia, Andalusia or the Canary Islands, there are multiple examples that argue this systematic lack of protection and that generate problems not only when it comes to history and revaluation, but also to preserve species and decorative elements eliminated forever from the collective imagination and the metalanguage implicit in their origin.
