Enseñar Ciencias Sociales entre riesgos e incertidumbres

Abstract

Tiene por finalidad este trabajo identificar y valorar algunos de los riesgos que hoy amenazan la enseñanza de las Ciencias So-ciales, tanto en el ámbito de la formación inicial del profesorado como en el de su enseñanza y aprendizaje en los diversos nive-les de la enseñanza obligatoria. Sin ánimo de exhaustividad, y desde la experiencia profesional de su autor, se plantea un acer-camiento a dicha cuestión junto con una propuesta de posibles retos a asumir cuyo logro puede contribuir a la mejora de la credibilidad y de la calidad de la Didáctica de las Ciencias Sociales.

This work aims at the identification and assessment of some of the risks threatening the practice of teaching Social Sciences today, both in the field of initial teacher training as well as in the teaching and learning practice at differentlevelsof com-pulsory education. Without being exhaustive and departing from the professional experienceof the author, it offers one possible approach to the issue alongside a number of potential challenges to be overcome. Successfullydoing so would con-tribute to the improvement of both the credibility and the qual-ity of the practice of teaching in the field of Social Sciences
