Pervivencia de la zarzaparrilla en textos medico-Farmaceúticos españoles

Abstract

Se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica de la zarzaparrilla traída de América, investigando en las obras españolas de interés médico-farmacéutico de los siglos XVI al XX, incluyendo las farmacopeas nacionales. El estudio de esta droga se ha completado con las descripciones botánicas hechas por los primeros historiadores y cronistas de Indias, y con las preparaciones galénicas recomendadas por los diversos autores.

It was done a bibliographic revision about the american sarsaparrilla, we have analyzed the more interesting medical-pharmaceutical books from the XVI to the XX century, enclosing the nationa! pharmacopoeias. It is study the botanic description of the plant that the first historians and chroniclers from India made of it, and then were analyzed the galenic preparations recomended by them.
