Farmacología del Glaucium Flavum Crantz. (I): Toxicidad aguda (DL-50) y Screening general de Irwin

Abstract

Se ha determinado la DL-50 y realizado el "screening" general de Irwin en diferentes preparados correspondientes a raíz, tallo, hoja y pericarpio del fruto del Glaucium flavum Crantz. (Papaveraceae). Los resultados obtenidos muestran que la DL-50 fluctúa entre 1.160 mg/kg y 6.900 mg/kg animal (ratón). Del "screening" general de Irwing se deduce que la planta ejerce una influencia negativa sobre actividad espontánea y temperatura corporal (hipotermia).

Toxicity studies (DL-50) and the Irwin's observation test on differents preparations from the root, stalk, leaves and fruits of Glaucium flavum Crantz have been described. The results on the Claucium flavum toxicity have showed that the DL-50 ranged between 1.160 mg/kg and 6.900 mg/kg. From the results of. the Irwin's test it could be concluded that the plant causes reductions in spontaneus motility and produces a decrease in normal body temperature (hypothermity).
