Acción hipoglucemiante de preparados fitoterápicos que contienen especies del género Salvia

Abstract

En este trabajo se investiga la actividad hipoglucemiante presentada por 8 preparados fitoterápicos comercializados en nuestro país, con diversos usos terapéuticos y que contienen especies de género Salvia; también se comprueba la composición cualitativa de los mismos. Se llega a la conclusión de que todos los preparados ensayados, a excepción de 1, presentaban actividad hipoglucemiante, resaltando que 2 de los mas activos no son empleados popularmente como antidiabéticos. En cuanto a la identificación de los componentes de estos preparados se han detectado diferencias cualitativas respecto a la composición dada por los expendedores en 3 de los casos.

In this work the hypoglycemic activity exerted by 8 phytotherapy preparation in.our country was investigated, these preparations have different therapeutic uses and with different species of Salvia. Then the qualitative composition of these preparation was checked. The results of the study were as the following: All the tested preparation were found to exert hypoglucemic activity with exception of one. Two of the most active are not populary used as antidiabetic. For the identification of the components of these preparation it was detected that there are qualitative difference with respect to the composition indicated by the seller in three of these preparations.
