Dos boticarios reales de origen francés del siglo XVII

Abstract

Estudiamos estos dos boticarios reales de origen francés, que vinieron en el séquito de las Infantas francesas con ocasión de las bodas reales que se celebraron con reyes españoles. Fueron estos: Juan Gabeaux que llegó sirviendo a la infanta D.ª Isabel de Barbón, esposa de Felipe IV y a Ramón Verdier que acompañó a D.ª M.ª Luisa de Orleans, primera esposa de Carlos II. Ambos boticarios gozaron del favor de esus reinas y por tanto de todos los honores y privilegios que el cargo les reportaba.

We study these two Royal Apoth·ecaries, native to France, who cane with the retinve of the french infantas on the oeeasion of the royal weddings held with spanisch kings. They were John Gabeaux who carne serving the infante Doña Isabel de Borbón, wife of philip IV and Ramon Verdier who accampanied Doña M.a Luisa de Orleans, the First wife of Charles n. Both apothecaries, enjoyed the favour of their queens and obviously oI aH howours and privileges accor ding with their jobs.
