Herewith we present a study about drugs and medecines prepared and dispensed by the Arigon brnthers who were Royal Druggists at the Royal Palace and its servants and other persons to whom had been dispensed protection. The documentation which proportions us this in formation are some accounts from the years 1544 to 1 547, which have been maintained in the General Archiv·es of Simancas. This study is relating drugs oí major use, and gives dates about spent quantities and its prices. It always mentions the most repeated pharmaceutical forms, expressing some very significant examples. We think that this stUdy is giving us very objective dates to be able to outline the authentic me dication used during that period that could be placed in opposition to the theoretical informs which are proportioning the medical and pharmaceutical texts.es_ES
