VIRTUACTIVE: Virtualización de contenidos y desarrollo de metodologías activas en diferentes Grados

Abstract

En el contexto educativo actual, los entornos formativos tradicionales se muestran incapaces de dar respuesta a los requerimientos de una sociedad digitalizada y en continuo cambio, por lo que se precisan nuevas modalidades de enseñanza más flexibles y abiertas centradas en el alumnado y en su proceso de aprendizaje. En este sentido, metodologías como el b-learning (blended learning), la flipped-classroom o el learning by doing, se conciben como una modalidad de enseñanza innovadora capaz de protagonizar el cambio metodológico necesario para el desarrollo de la universidad del siglo XXI. Por otro lado, la experiencia del equipo docente que ha desarrollado este proyecto ha propiciado la identificación de determinadas carencias que adolecen al alumnado procedentes de distintos ámbitos educativos a lo largo de su vida académica. En especial, en los últimos cursos se ha detectado una falta importante de motivación y participación, con el consiguiente aumento del número de suspensos y abandonos. Por ello, se hace necesaria la aplicación de metodologías activas que coloquen al alumnado en el centro del aprendizaje haciendo que se involucren activamente con los contenidos de las diferentes materias y, de este modo, mejorar sus niveles de motivación. Considerando todo lo anterior, el objetivo de esta propuesta consiste en fomentar el aprendizaje activo a través de la aplicación de nuevas metodologías de enseñanza (blended-learning, learning by doing, flipped classroom) que permitan incrementar los niveles de motivación, participación e implicación del estudiantado en las distintas asignaturas implicadas en el proyecto.

In the current educational context, traditional training environments do not cover the requirements of a digitized and constantly changing society. Hence, more flexible and open teaching modalities are required and focused on students and their learning process. In this sense, methodologies such as b-learning (blended learning), the flipped-classroom or learning by doing, are conceived as innovative teaching modalities capable of leading the methodological change necessary for the development of the 21st century university. On the other hand, the experience of the teaching team that has developed this project, has led to the identification of certain deficiencies suffered by students from different educational fields throughout their academic life. In particular, in recent years a significant lack of motivation and participation has been detected, with the consequent increase in the number of failures and dropouts. For this reason, the application of active methodologies that consider students at the basis of learning is necessary, making them actively involved with the contents of the different subjects and, in this way, improve their levels of motivation. Considering all of the above, the aim of this proposal is to promote active learning through the application of new teaching methodologies (blended-learning, learning by doing, flipped classroom) that allow increasing the levels of motivation, participation and involvement of the students, in different subjects involved in the project.
